Home Hack: Silence a Leaky Faucet With a String

Jan 12, 2011 06:00 PM

Yep, it's that easy. From Re-Nest:

"To quiet the sound of a leaky faucet, simply tie a string around the neck of the faucet and allow it to catch the drips on the way down.

This will allow your pipes to continue to flow freely and give the water something to cling to. Think of it as a mini slide for your H2O or better yet... a good night's sleep!"

OR... you can do it the proper way. But don't you just love those little life hacks (1, 2, 3) that make things simpler?
